The screenshots used in this article have been taken in the Twitter app for iPhone. The instructions are similar for other phones and even for the web.
Retweets from this user should no longer appear on your timeline. Turning off retweets for an account prevents them from showing up on all your devices and not just the device you disabled it on.
One of the problems I used to face with Twitter was when good accounts retweet bad tweets. If you follow accounts that tweet jokes and retweet sponsored tweets then you'll find this tutorial very helpful. Even if you're not, and you just want to stop seeing retweets from a certain user on your timeline then this guide will be particularly useful to you.
Here's the step-by-step guide.
1. Search for the user you want to stop retweets for.
2. Tap on the icon that looks like a drawing of a human, as shown in the screenshot below.
Retweets from this user should no longer appear on your timeline. Turning off retweets for an account prevents them from showing up on all your devices and not just the device you disabled it on.
If you found this tutorial helpful, share it with your friends and they'll be grateful! And speaking about Twitter, mind if you follow @Alwarakiblog on it?
Doesn't work on android.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised this option isn't on the android app. You may need to turn it off using your computer, it shouldn't appear on your phone then.
