Youtube has been making it harder and harder to download Youtube videos, whether you're on an iPhone, Android phone, PC, etc. It's fairly easy to avoid those limitations on a computer as you can find many sites that let you download videos, but on the iPhone, apps with the ability to download Youtube videos tend to be removed from the App Store or completely rejected in the first place.
Some apps have managed to stay, I only know of one app right now.
It's called Video D/L and it's by RoyalDevs. There's a free version available, but for full features and no ads you may also go for the pro version.
Once you've downloaded the app you can use its built in browser to access Youtube. When you load up a video you'll find a small save button in the bottom left, click on it and the video will start downloading. It's a pretty straightforward process.
Most apps with a Youtube downloader have been pulled from the App Store, so I would recommend you download this one in case it gets removed. If it is removed you can always re-download it from your purchased section.
